Venezuelan President Continues Leading Polls for July 28 Elections

According to a poll published this Saturday by the Center for Measurement and Interpretation of Statistical Data, (CMIDE 50.1), the president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, is the favorite candidate with the 55.80 approval after consulting 1200 qualified voters.

According to the poll, in second place is the right-wing opposition candidate Edmundo González, far from the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), with 18.70% acceptance among voters.
Luis Eduardo Martínez has 4.8%, Antonio Ecarri 3.3%, Benjamín Rausseo 3%, José Brito 2.1%, Javier Bertucci 2%, Daniel Ceballos 0.8%, Claudio Fermín 0.4% and Enrique Márquez 0.4%, while 8.7% do not know or do not respond.
The study also measured the willingness of respondents to vote and found that 59.20% said they would be very sure to go to exercise their political right on 28 July; 11.60% said they might; 20.80% will abstain and 8.4% do not know or do not respond.
The Venezuelan head of state has has maintained a prominent place in the various surveys conducted. Maduro leads the intention to vote with 55.6 percen according to the consulting agency and private pollster Hinterlaces.
On the other hand ccording to a poll by an American firm, cited by the television network Univision, the Venezuelan president has more than 52 percent, surpassing his closest opposition opponent, Edmundo González, who had about 20 percent.
